Rain fell this evening over the Phoenix metropolitan area. At approximately 5PM this evening, AZRD had announced that the bout scheduled at 7PM between the #3 Surly Gurlies and the #4 Brawlarinas has been postponed due to rain. The AZDR did visit Casey At The Bat, the outdoor venue for AZRD bouts and found that while the rain had cleared, the track was not dry and it was not safe to bout.
Prior to the bout being postponed, AZRD had told the AZDR that a tentative alternate date will be on Saturday January 19 at 7PM. We note this is the same day as the BruiserNation Bruisers vs. Tucson Roller Derby Copper Queens scrimmage taking place at 4PM.
AZRD should eventually announce the official date and time for the replacement bout, ticketing policies, etc.
The next AZRD scheduled bout is on February 2 when the #1 Bad News Beaters takes on the #2 Bruisers. This has been declared by the AZDR as a Michi-chan "must see" bout.
